Get Wise to Your Genes: Hereditary Cancer in the Jewish Community

Did you know the risk of carrying a BRCA gene is 1 in 40 for people with Jewish ancestry? And did you also know that half of all BRCA mutation carriers have little to no cancer history in their families?

Join the Vancouver Island-wide webinar for an informative evening of discussion on hereditary cancer risk in the Jewish community, particularly the BRCA genes, on September 16th from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm PST. This event is hosted in collaboration with Jennifer Nuk (Genetic Counsellor) and Dr. Rona Cheifetz (Medical Lead).

The event will also share resources and opportunities for testing, followed by an audience Q&A. Jane and Catriona Remocker from BRCAinBC will share their family's BRCA story.
